Dr. Jason Sala

Dr. Jason was born and raised in Reno and is a 4th generation Nevadan. He joined his father’s practice in 2003 and welcomed his brother in 2004. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville. Dentistry is one of the passions in Dr. Jason’s life, and the other is his family. He loves being outside with his wife Lynsey and their 3 children Addison, Sawyer, and Colin. Sharing his love for the Sierra Nevada mountains with his family is how much of their time is spent, and they can be found most weekends exploring the local mountains beauty. Their favorite vacation place is the Florida Keys and fishing in both the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. Dr. Jason also enjoys mountain biking completing the Leadville 100 mile race three times, skiing, golfing, exercise, and travel.

Since 2004, Sala Family Dentistry has grown from 5 operatories and a team of 6, to 29 operatories and a team of 65. This growth has allowed Dr Jason to not only be a dentist, but become a leader, mentor, and coach as well. He is zealous about staying on the cutting edge of dentistry and has proven this by becoming a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) as well as a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA). Through this commitment, Dr. Jason has learned the latest techniques in implants, cosmetics, lasers and most recently Invisalign where he has become a platinum plus provider. Dr. Jason is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Nevada Dental Association, the Northern Nevada Dental Society, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners. Dr Jason was also invited to serve as a board member of the AACA where he is a Key Opinion Leader.

Dr. Jason has won best dentist in Reno three consecutive years and Sala Family Dentistry has been voted best place to work twice in addition to being a finalist every year since 2009. The office has also won best company culture, company benefits package, leadership team, and was second for best nonprofit Smiles for FREEdom.org. Creating a place where people want to work, and patients want to come has been something he has focused on since he took over the practice.

Not only is Dr. Jason interested in his education, but he enjoys educating others as well. Since 2011, he has been teaching dentists and other medical professionals from all over the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia on how to improve their patient care through sound business principles as a coach for the Scheduling Institute. He has also been featured several times on News Channel 8 Health Watch and in the Reno Gazette Journal.
