Using Invisalign to Treat Anterior Tooth Wear

One of the major challenges a dentist encounters on a regular basis is the treatment of ‘Extensive Anterior Tooth Wear’. Dentin has been shown to be ‘softer’ than enamel and therefore will wear at a faster rate. These patients are prone to premature loss of tooth structure and require restorative treatment to protect their teeth for many years to come.

Course objectives

  • Understand the concept of ‘Dento-Alveolar Eruption’

  • Revisit the term ‘Vertical Dimension of Occlusion’

  • Discussing whether the term ‘Open the Bite’ is a viable tx. option.

  • Introducing the concept of ‘Dento-Alveolar Intrusion’.

  • Learn how the Invisalign System is fundamental in the minimally invasive restorative treatment of ‘Extensive Anterior Tooth Wear’.
