Dr. Robin Lucas is a dynamic, yet humble; caring and accomplished health care provider who, if asked, would tell you that getting here was nothing but a dream come true.
She hails from the shores of Guyana, South America and upon arriving in the US, it was the tenacity and support of her very industrious, immigrant, single mother that catapulted this dream of becoming a dentist to reality.
Dr. Lucas, a Temple University School of Dentistry graduate, completed her residency and fellowship at the University Hospital in Newark NJ. During her almost 30years in practice, she has made delivering excellent and compassionate care to members of her community the trademark of both Lucas Dental and her pediatric satellite practice Blooming Smiles. She’s become a pillar in the Hoboken community over the last 24 years by building a strong, dedicated, and respected brand.
Managing any business come with its challenges, and when asked what’s her secret, she beams and says, “God’s grace”. From being a wife and mother, running two muti-specialty facilities, ongoing educational undertakings to ballroom dancing and traveling where she gets to quench her thirst for history (if not binge watching a movie or docuseries), she faces every day as a new one always being ready.
She shared a funny story about attending the Reingage course in her quest to being a Platinum Invisalign provider which she explains demonstrates her discerning abilities. But true to form, she balanced the new learnings with old teachings and has since been able to offer her patients their passport to the world, A Beautiful Smile.
Dr. Lucas is a member of numerous organizations such as the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, National Dental Association, and has served on the board of the Visiting Nurse Services. Dr Lucas has been featured in the NY Post, Inside Edition, Scholastic Magazine, 07030 Magazine and the Network Journal, to list a few, where her leadership abilities and innovative prowess are showcased. In addition, she is proud to be a member and Fellow of the AACA and a graduate and past president of Diamond Club Makers (DCM).
